For every biological active drug, there is a need for a relevant functional assay, a bioassay. The ideal bioassay is based on the mechanism of action (MOA), and can be utilized for several purposes, like efficacy and potency measurements, and release testing in CMC.
In this poster, we demonstrate how Wieslab® pathway specific functional Complement ELISAs easily can be used to measure the potency of complement inhibition of any of the complement factors involved in the cascade. The pathway specific ELISAs are especially useful for assessing potency of drugs targeting the early complement factor, while inhibition of the terminal pathway can be measured with any of the complement ELISAs.
With over 15 years experience of complement system assay development, our complement system assays have been developed by our experienced scientists in close collaboration with key opinion leaders, to yield sensitive, reliable and easy-to-use products for the exploration of most aspects of the complement system.
