Renopulmonella syndrome

The combination of acute glomerulonephritis with hematuria and renal dysfunction with pulmonary hemorrhage is characteristic of Goodpasture's syndrome The combination of acute glomerulonephritis with hematuria and renal dysfunction with pulmonary hemorrhage is characteristic of Goodpasture's syndrome.

However, it is not diagnostic relevant for anti-GBM disease as it also occurs in other diseases such as Granulomatosis with polyangiitis, microscopic polangiit, SLE and other acute glomerulonephritis such as post streptococcal glomerulonephritis. Vasculitis and anti-GBM antibody is the most common diseases of this syndrome. Most studies show that more 50-60% of patients with the syndrome have ANCA, 10-20% have anti-GBM and the rest has a mixture of SLE, infections and other lung diseases.
