Result

Results are reported as negative or positive with a concentration (RU/mL).

Interpretation

Antibodies against ZnT8 is a marker for type 1 diabetes (T1D). To increase diagnostic sensitivity, analysis for antibodies against GAD-65, insulin, IA-2 and islet cells should also be performed.
