Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS) – Extended Analysis

Diagnostic test panel for antibodies against Cardiolipin (IgA), Beta-2-Glycoprotein 1 (IgA), and Phosphatidylserine (IgGAM). For suspicion of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).

Indication

Suspicion of Antiphospholipid syndrom, expanded analysis when suspicion of APS remains, when the patient is seronegative for the standard antibodies.

Clinical background

When tests for lupus anticoagulant, IgG- and IgM-antibodies against beta2-Glykoprotein-1 and cardiolipin, according to the SLICC criteria analysis of IgA-antibodies against the same should be performed. Antibodies against phosphatidylserine could also be useful.
