iLite® FGF-21 Assay Ready Cells
BM3071
This iLite® FGF-21 reporter assay provides cell-based measurement of FGF-21 signaling, supporting metabolic research and development of FGF-21 analogs or mimetics.
- High sensitivity and large dynamic range
- "Assay-ready" format for rapid and convenient use
- Reproducible and biologically relevant results
- Reduced assay variability and higher reproducibility compared to cells in culture
- Normalization of cell counts and serum matrix effects using a second reporter gene
Product Overview
iLite® FGF21 Assay Ready Cells are based on the human embryonic kidney cell line, HEK293, and have been genetically engineered and optimized to be responsive to human FGF21 and analogues of human FGF21 by specific and proportional expression of Firefly Luciferase.
For drug development in the field of metabolic disorders, iLite FGF21 Assay Ready Cells perfectly complements iLite Insulin Assay Ready Cells for measurement of potency and immunogenicity.
Normalization of cell counts and serum matrix effects is obtained by a second reporter gene, a Renilla Luciferase reporter gene construct, under the control of a constitutive promotor.
