Product Overview

iLite® AAV5 Packaging Assay Ready Cells are based on the human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cell line. They are ideal for neutralizing antibody detection studies. Engineered and optimized to produce AAV vectors of serotype 5.

A two-cell line setup

A packaging cell generates AAVs. We offer many different kinds of packaging cells, each producing a different AAV serotype.

AAV iLite cell

A two-cell line setup

An AAV-responsive reporter cell expresses Firefly luciferase in response to AAV transduction that can be measured using a standard luminometer. In the presence of neutralizing antibodies, the AAV transduction is impaired, resulting in a lower signal. A constitutively expressed second Renilla luciferase reporter gene can be used as an internal control of matrix effects.
