iLite® Type I IFN FAST Assay Ready Cells
BM4049
The iLite® Type I IFN FAST assay offers accelerated quantification of type I interferon signaling with a shortened incubation time. Ideal for high-throughput functional antibody screening and antiviral research.
- High sensitivity and large dynamic range
- "Assay-ready" format for rapid and convenient use
- Reproducible and biologically relevant results
- Reduced assay variability and higher reproducibility compared to cells in culture
- Normalization of cell counts and serum matrix effects using a second reporter gene
Product Overview
iLite® IFN type I FAST Assay Ready Cells are human embryonic kidney HEK293 cells (used under a license obtained from AdVec Inc). They have been genetically engineered and optimized to be responsive to type I interferon, resulting in a proportional expression of Firefly Luciferase.
This product can be used for studies of type I interferon (IFNα and IFNβ) in test samples, including human serum.
iLite® IFN type I FAST Assay Ready Cells also contain a Renilla Luciferase internal standardization gene under the control of a constitutive promoter that renders assay results independent of cell number and provides a means for correcting for cytotoxic effects that may be encountered in some biological samples.
