iLite® GM-CSF Assay Ready Cells
BM4050
The iLite® GM-CSF assay enables functional quantification of granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor activity. Ideal for potency testing of cytokine-based biologics.
- High sensitivity and large dynamic range
- "Assay-ready" format for rapid and convenient use
- Reproducible and biologically relevant results
- Reduced assay variability and higher reproducibility compared to cells in culture
- Normalization of cell counts and serum matrix effects using a second reporter gene
Product Overview
iLite® GM-CSF Assay Ready Cells are a genetically engineered reporter gene cell line (U937) responsive to granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF) by specific and proportional expression of Firefly Luciferase.
They can be used for the quantification GM-CSF activity, GM-CSF inhibitor activity, and for determination of neutralizing antibodies against such either in buffer systems or human serum.
As a functional assay, iLite GM-CSF assay ready cells can be used to determine the activity of GM-CSF, or of GM-CSF inhibitors, as well as neutralizing antibodies, all using the same assay set-up.
The assay ready iLite GM-CSF cells Normalization of cell counts and serum matrix effects is obtained by a second reporter gene, a Renilla Luciferase reporter gene construct, under the control of a constitutive promotor.
