Interpretation
Anti-endomysial IgA antibodies is a strong diagnostic marker for celiac disease.
Note! Determination of IgA level in serum is not included in the test. In case of IgA-deficiency, IgA-antibodies cannot be detected and analysis of antibodies of IgG-class against endomysial tissue or transglutaminase 2 is then recommended.

Tolkning
IgA-antikroppar mot endomysium talar starkt för celiaki.
OBS! Bestämning av IgA-nivå i serum ingår inte i denna test utan får utföras separat. Vid IgA-brist kan, av naturliga skäl, IgA-antikroppar inte påvisas och analys av IgGantikroppar mot endomysium eller transglutaminas 2 rekommenderas då i stället.
