Results are reported as negative or positive with a titer.
Interpretation
In autoimmune gastritis, antibodies against parietal cells are directed against H+K+ATPase and can lead to atrophic gastritis and pernicious anemia due to B-12 deficiency. Autoimmune gastritis is often associated with autoimmune thyroid disease.

Tolkning
Vid autoimmun gastrit är antikroppar mot parietalceller riktade mot H+K+ATPas och kan leda till atrofisk gastrit och perniciös anemi pga. B-12-brist. Autoimmun gastrit är ofta associerat med autoimmun tyreoideasjukdom.
