Interpretation
Antibodies against ZnT8 is a marker for type 1 diabetes (T1D). To increase diagnostic sensitivity, analysis for antibodies against GAD-65, insulin, IA-2 and islet cells should also be performed.

Tolkning
Antikroppar mot ZnT8 är markör för diabetes typ 1 (T1D). För ökad diagnostisk sensitivitet bör även analys av antikroppar mot GAD-65, insulin, IA-2 och ö-celler utföras.
