The result is given as a ratio between patient serum and normal serum.
Interpretation
Steroid 21-hydroxylase is the principal antigen in autoimmune adrenal cortex insufficiency (Addison's disease). The antibody has been observed in 93% of patients diagnosed with Addison's disease.
