Indication
Suspicion of autoimmune encephalitis.
Method
Indirect immunofluorescence. The method is not yet validated.
Response
Reported as negative or positive with titer.
Can be tested in serum and CSF.
Interpretation
Autoantibodies against Neurexin-3 alpha have been reported in a few cases of autoimmune encephalitis. Typical clinical features are similar to NMDAR-encephalitis but with less prominent psychiatric symptoms.

Anges som negativ eller positiv med titer.
Kan testas i serum och likvor.
Tolkning
Autoantikroppar mot Neurexin-3 alpha har rapporterats i ett fåtal fall av autoimmun encefalit. Den kliniska bilden beskrivs likna NMDAR-encefalit men psykiska symptom kan vara mindre uttalade.
