Result
Results are reported as negative or positive. A positive result is followed by a titer (serum).
Interpretation
Antibodies against GABA-A receptor have been reported for autoimmune encephalitis with seizures (including status epilepticus), cognitive impairment with disorientation and hallucinations. In stiff person syndrome, these antibodies have been detected in low titers.

Tolkning
Antikroppar mot GABA-A receptor har rapporterats vid autoimmun encefalit med krampanfall (även status epileptikus), kognitiv påverkan med desorientering och hallucinationer. Vid stiff person syndrom har dessa antikroppar påvisats i låga titer.
