Following an on-site assessment performed by Swedac (Sweden's National Accreditation Body), Wieslab Diagnostic Services was awarded the ISO 15189 accreditation in recognition of meeting the international standard requirements for quality and competence that specifies the quality management system requirements particular to medical laboratories.

Wieslab was one of the very first private laboratories accredited by SWEDAC and this new accreditation is the culmination of years of planning and a quality focused organisation and is a great achievement for Wieslab that will benefit our customers and ultimately the patients which samples are analysed.

ISO 15189 is designed specifically for medical laboratories. It is a quality management system to help laboratories develop a highly disciplined approach to improving the quality of services and outcomes. It is also used for confirming and recognizing the competence of medical laboratories by laboratory customers, regulating authorities and accreditation bodies.
