How to identify adverse effect in drug development

Every drug can produce some kind of unwanted effects – ranging from mild to severe – in addition to its intended effect

As adverse effects can result in hospitalization or in worst case even death, and naturally have a severe impact on the success of any drug development project -  it is important to identify them as early as possible in the development process.

Hence it is common practice in drug development to try to predict adverse effects before they happen in patients – typically using animal toxicology studies. However, since the results of these studies are not always easily transferrable to humans, use of in vitro assay data has gain traction as a powerful way of complementing animal studies.

We can help you avoid unpleasant surprises

This is where Svar Life Science comes in. This quarter we are putting the spotlight on how we, with our service offering and product portfolio, can help to identify adverse effects.

We offer a wide range of in vitro products and services that can be used to determine, monitor, and predict adverse effects to ensure that safe and effective drugs can be developed.
