Test Portfolio Updates

We have made a number of updates to our tests and test panels recently. For example, we have made changes to our autoimmune nodopathy panels, added tests for KLHL11 and KCNA2 antibodies. In addition, we can now perform NfL testing on serum and CSF samples sent at room temperature. Read about the updates below and download our latest request forms for neurology, autoimmunity, and therapeutic drug monitoring.

NEW TEST 868

KCNA2-antibodies (IgG)

Autoantibodies against the VGKC subunit A 2 (KCNA2) have been described in patients suffering from cognitive impairment, dementia, and epileptic seizures. Early diagnosis is associated with a better prognosis and response to treatment.

NEW TEST 957

KLHL11-antibodies (IgG)

Anti-KLHL11 antibodies target the intracellular KLHL11 antigen and can be identified in serum and CSF. Patients suffer from a wide range of symptoms, such as seizures, impaired cognitive function, and disturbance of consciousness. Early identification and treatment can improve prognosis.

TEST 994

Samples for NfL at room temperature

You can now send CSF and serum samples for neurofilament light analysis to Wieslab at room temperature.

Please note that EDTA plasma is not stable at room temperature and should be frozen immediately if the sample does not arrive to us within 48 hours.

UPDATED PANELS 533, 540, 620

Autoimmune nodopathy/CIDP – extended analysis with reflex (IgG1-4)

A new feature of our expanded analysis of autoimmune nodopathy is that a positive result for antibodies against NF155, NF186, CNTN1, and CASPR1 is complemented with all subclasses (533). The initial screening uses IIF, while subclass analyses are conducted with a live cell-based assay. It is also possible to order only subclasses in our new Subclass screen panel (540). Additionally, we now offer antibody screening with a response time within 48 hours.
